Mondays - YUCK!

You can always tell when Monday rolls around. People just don't seem to be on top of things. I thought the weekends were for refreshing yourself for another week, but it seems that I always just wear myself out :) Here was my weekend...

Friday night we had steak and potatoes for dinner. They were so yummy. After I put Meg to bed, Jarrad and I watched "Failure To Launch", then crawled into bed. Around 3:45am, Jarrad's phone rang - turns out that one of the doors at a car wash was left open, so he had to go up to Irving to lock the door. Since it was already 4:15 by the time he left, he just didn't come back to the house. So, his Saturday started VERY early.

Saturday, Meg and I went to Lawson's b-day party. I can't believe he's two. Meg loved playing with Brylie and Marlie. She actually ate cake (two pieces)...but, turns out she didn't really like the cake, just the chocolate chips that Darla put on it. Speaking of cake - you should have seen Lawson's cake (pictured below - not a great picture, was taken with my cell phone). Darla actually made it. I was VERY impressed.

Saturday afternoon, Jarrad came home around 3:30 or so. I was able to talk him into going to the mall with me. I know - Jarrad at the mall...but, it's true. Jarrad gave me a beautiful ring for our anniversary and I needed to pick it up from being resized. After the mall, we went to Razoos for some boiled crawfish - yummy!!! Then it was back to the house.

Sunday, I got up and tackled my "project" of converting the "baby room" into a play room for Meg. The fact is that the rooms just sits empty, so we thought we'd take advantage of the space while we still have only one child and make it into a play room for her. It took all day, and it's almost complete. Meg loves it :) It was worth my time and effort. Of course, we all know what this means....I'm going to be pregnant and have a baby sooner rather than later. But, hey, I can live with that :)
