Gone to the Dogs!

Labor Day weekend was full of family, friends and fun…but I can’t forget our four-legged companions.

Fortunately, the only two dogs that don’t get along are Parker and Gunner.  They just avoid each other, so we never have any problems.

Spring Break part 3

Being in SA is always so much fun.  I miss it so much sometimes, and would love to move back, but I know that our lives are here and wouldn’t change that for the world.

We spent Sunday with Taylor, Ruth, Luke and friends and family for Luke’s dedication.  The day turned out to be beautiful.  IMG_8373IMG_8393IMG_8428

Tuesday, we got to hang out with Kyle and Sheryl.  They made a special trip to mom and dad’s just to visit us.  We went to lunch, then went looking at model homes.  K&S are in the process of remodeling, so they were looking for ideas :)      IMG_1975

Tuesday evening, Taylor, Ruth & Luke came over for dinner.  Unfortunately, K&S had to leave before dinner, so they weren’t there.

I can’t believe how fast Luke is growing!  He’s crawling all over and starting to walk.  Taylor and Ruth are definitely going to have their hands full with this little monster :)  IMG_8846  IMG_8840IMG_1981

A trip to SA wouldn’t be complete without a few pictures of the dogs.

Meme & Poppy visit

Two weekends back, my parents came in for a visit. Meg had a school holiday (Columbus Day), so they made the trip to hang out with us. They arrived on Friday just in time to go with me to pick Meg up from school. She was so excited to see them.

That night, after Jarrad got home, we ran a few errands then went to Hoffbrau Steak House in the Arlington Highlands. Jarrad and I had tried it a few weeks ago and thought that my parents would love it.

We got back to the house, opened a bottle (or two or three) of wine and visited with them. We thought we were going to have to get up early on Saturday morning for Meg's soccer game, but because the fields were too wet, her game was cancelled. So, we just got out of the house and ran around town.

Sunday, mom, dad, Megan and I got out after breakfast to run a few errands before I had to go to the botanical gardens for my photography class field trip. Originally, they had planned on coming with me, but Meg fell asleep in the car and I didn't want to deal with a grumpy butt while I was having to take pictures for my class.
