A few weeks ago, after Meg came home from school, she asked me if she could have some Hershey Kisses.
I told her she could.
She then asked if she could have four (that's the limit per day on Hershey Kisses).
I said sure...

Letter of the week...."H"
Every week, Meg has a "letter of the week" at school. A few weeks ago, the letter was H...if you have a child, I'm sure you can see where this is going...
So, Meg was in the man cave talking to Jarrad and me about words that start with the letter H. She was sounding things out; horse, house, hamburger, etc, when Jarrad said "Hair starts with H, you should cut some of your hair off".
I could have kicked him!!! Seriously, you can't plant that idea in the head of a 5-year old girl who has access to scissors. So, he said "Meg, you know you shouldn't cut your hair right?" Well, he was too late - the seed had already been planted.
The next morning, when I was helping Meg in the bathroom, I noticed it...the section of hair that was shorter than the rest of her hair. When I asked her about it, the very first thing she said was "Don't tell daddy". She knew she was busted and she knew she shouldn't have done it. I'm just thankful that it was a small section and she didn't cut it off at her scalp.

You've got to be kidding...
The other day I was surfing the web for a new camera strap for my SLR...while surfing, I came across this...
The camera and hand not included? Well then, I'm definitely not interested!

Dance or Soccer???
Anyone who knows me, knows that I'd rather have Meg play soccer than take dance. That being said, I had made the decision to put her in soccer this fall. However after all the dancing she's been doing lately, and the joy I see on her face while she's doing it, we've decided to put her in a dance class. (Darla - where do you take Brylie? Is it a step in time?).
Meg is so excited about it that she can hardly keep quiet about it.
Yesterday, I took Megan over to her grandparents house to spend the day and night with them. When she arrived home today, this is how she was dressed...

This outfit was Aunt Stacy's when she was a little girl. Meg informed me that Nawnaw said she can sleep in it. I'm not looking forward to tomorrow morning when I have to get it off her so she can go to day care. I'm already having a fight with her about putting her swimsuit on for swimming lessons. 7.29.2008
Meg's new man
Yes, she's in love with Spiderman. Toys-R-Us has this "ride" conveniently located at the cash registers. While I was checking out, Meg crawled up into the car with Spidey (as she calls him). After I completed my transaction, I overheard her say...
"Bye my husband, I will talk to you later.

Men-opause Jewelry
I just had to post this e-mail that my mom sent me...
My husband, being unhappy with my mood swings, bought me a mood ring the other day so he would beable to monitor my moods.
We've discovered that when I'm in a good mood, it turns green. When I'm in a bad mood, it leaves a big frickin red mark on his forehead. Maybe next time he'll buy me a diamond. Dumb ass
