Wii are having fun

Wii are so excited!

Yesterday, Jarrad finally caved in to my idea of getting a Wii. We found the gaming system at Blockbuster, and all the games at Best Buy. Meg is so excited, but I think Jarrad and I are more excited than her. Each of us picked out our own game...Jarrad got a hunting game and I got Guitar Hero. I stayed up past mid-night last night playing it. It's totally addicting.

If I go missing for a few weeks, it's because I'm feeding my addiction :)

Fort Worth Stock Show

Yesterday, Jarrad and I took Meg to the Ft. Worth Stock Show. It was a lot of fun. The weather was perfect (although, for me, it could have been a little warmer). Meg loved running around and looking at everything. Her and I walked thru part of one horse barn before it dawned on me that I couldn't pick her up to look at the horses in the stalls. And, since Jarrad has asthma, he wasn't able to take her either. So, she had to settle for the petting zoo. I don't think she was too upset about it.

After we walked around the "shops" and barns, we headed over to the midway so Meg could ride a few rides. We bought her $20 worth of coupons which is only 24 coupons. The first ride she rode she had to ride with daddy because she wasn't tall enough to ride alone, but after that she rode all of the rides alone. She's such a big girl now.

Feeling Crafty...

When we moved into the house, I order letter's for Megan's room and loved the look. As she's grown, her bedroom has changed. We no longer have the bedding that matched the letters so perfectly. So, I decided to make her some new letters for her room.

The hair cut story...

After Christmas, Meg decided she wanted to get her hair cut "short". So, I took her to Cool Cuts for Kids" in Arlington. She wanted her hair a little below her shoulders...this is what it looked like when we left (forgive the photo quality - it was taken with my phone).

As you can see, the left side is MUCH shorter than the right side. I loved her hair this link, but the unevenness (is that a word) was driving me crazy. The back was even worse - I could have done a better job...actually, the one time I did cut her hair, I did do a better job.

So, two days after i tried to live with her horrible hair cut we headed out to get her hair fixed. Meg ended up with the cutest hair cut in the world. I love her new do and so does she. We drove to Southlake so we could go to Sweet & Sassy for the hair cut fix. If you have a little girl, you must take her here - this was the cutest place I've ever seen and not over priced. Meg's new hair cut is a little high maintainence, but she doesn't fuss about it. She lets me blow dry and style it every night when she gets out of the bath and every morning for a few touch ups after sleeping on it. All-in-all, I'm in love with this new hair cut!!!

She will make it greater...

Whatever you give a woman, she will make greater.
If you give her sperm, she'll give you a baby.
If you give her a house, she'll give you a home.
If you give her groceries, she'll give you a meal.
If you give her a smile, she'll give you her heart.
She multiplies and enlarges what is given to her.
So, if you give her any crap, be ready to receive a ton of shit.

Meg and I flew down to SA on Saturday morning. Meg was so excited about flying. She kept telling me that she hadn't been on an airplane in a long time (she was right). She was quite entertaining while we were waiting for the plane at the airport. She brought her "iPod" (it's actually a MP3 player) and was singing out loud. It was so funny because the only thing on her iPod is the soundtrack from Mama Mia (her new favorite movie). After we got on the plane and the flight attendant said it was ok to use electronic devices, she turned on her iPod and started singing again (out loud). I kept looking over at her and giving her the "shush" signal. She would quiet down for a few minutes, then it was back to the loud singing. Lucky for us, the plane wasn't full and everyone around us didn't seem to mind. As we were deplaning, other passengers kept telling her how cute she was.

***There was so much static in the plane that Meg's hair wouldn't stay down***

Sunday was Meme's birthday, so all the girls went to the nail salon for pedicures. It was so much fun. Meg acts like an old pro when getting her nails painted. I'm definitely going to regret turning into her into such a diva.

After our pedicures, we went home for a little while to regroup, then headed to El Jarro for mom's birthday dinner. We met the Koppes/Boones and had a great time visiting with everyone. Kyle and Sheryl brought a birthday cake for Meme and we all sang, then she blew out the candle.

Before we came to San Antonio, Poppy told Meg that he would buy her a new baby doll...as you can see, she ended up with twins. The twins are girls, that Meg named Kara and Lucy.

On Monday, I had a follow up appt for my back (this was the whole reason for the trip to SA). The appt went well. Dr. Meadows was impressed with my ability to bend over while I'm sitting and cleared me to start trying to bend over while standing up. I never thought I'd be excited that I can start trying to load the dishwasher. I was most excited that I was released to take a bath and get in the hot tub.
